Come get a taste of what's been going on in Joanna's head that past few months and see what you think! We'll be incorporating some belly dance concepts and many non-belly dance concepts in this choreography. Bring plenty of water, a notebook and pen if you wish and a childlike playfulness that's willing to try anything!

SOLD OUT!! Belt Making and Embellishment workshop with Julia DiVerdi of TribalTique!
Make Your Own Belly Dance Belt!
Tired of your dance belts sliding around on your hips or gaping on your booty? Or maybe you don't have an extra $300 laying around for a custom belt? Well learn to make your very own! In this workshop, Julia will show you how to create a custom pattern to fit your hips perfectly as well as create a variety of belt shapes and styles. We will cover tie front belts, hidden side closure belts as well as decorative clasps/buckles. And as a bonus, you will also learn Julia's time-worn secrets to making the most of your bling and the best ways to apply it. In addition to embellishment placement and application we will cover coin loops/trim, tassels, kuchi pendant overhaul, and Julia's signature felt medallions. You will also have an opportunity to pour through Julia's collections of embellished bras, belts, and headbands for an up close look at embellishment ideas. So let's turn that magpie hoard into a work of art! Since there is minimal hand sewing, you should be able to leave the workshop with a complete belt base and depending on how fast you work some embellishment as well.
In order to provide more individualized attention, this workshop is limited to 15 participants. This workshop is expected to sell out fast, so register soon! A supply list will be sent to you upon registration.

Pre-Tribal Fest Extravaganza!
Red Elephant Workshop is holding a fun filled event to send off the
ladies of TribalTique in style before they head to California again to
teach and represent Colorado at one of the biggest Tribal Belly Dance
Festivals in the world!
The extravaganza starts off in the afternoon with a Tribal Style Hair and Make-up workshop by Molly and Julia of TribalTique, which will get you all fancied up for the evenings festivities. Later in the evening, the studio will host an intimate, yet casual, hafla so you can see their new Tribal Fest piece before they take it on their road. The frosting on the cake?!? During the workshop and the halfa, TribalTiques very own Julia DiVerdi will be having a trunk show so you can get your hands on her fabulous costumes and goodies before she brings them to Tribal Fest!

Shimmy Sessions!:
Have you taken a few "Fundamentals of Tribal" classes and want to get in some practice, do you need a little help on one pesky move, a choreography to work on, perhaps practice another dance style, break out your hula hoops? Do you just want to dance?
Come to "Shimmy Sessions!" They'll be held once a month at the Red Elephant Workshop on Saturday from 1:30-3PM in the afternoon. An optional $5 donation is requested. Teachers, Molly and Joanna will be on hand to dance with you and answer any questions you may have. Have a song you would love to dance to? Bring it on CD or mp3 player and we'll dance to it! We hope to see you there!
